About me
Dia dhuit! My name is Aoife Heffernan and I am a 21 year old student from Ireland. I am currently on a study abroad program in Chico however I usually study in St. Patrick's College, Dublin.
Teaching is a passion AND a hobby of mine. I have been career orientated from a young age and it is my dream to one day be a fantastic teacher and hopefully specialize in working with young Autistic children.
Through-out my teen years, I tried my best to incorporate my interests with gaining experience. At home, I worked at summer camps, taught tennis, volunteered with a children's choir and assisted in the production of local school shows.
In the past year, I have caught the "travel bug". I traveled to New York on my own to teach tennis at a Sleep-Away Summer Camp. The experience gave me the opportunity to work with children aged 5-16 from all over the world. This positive experience encouraged me to travel more, and now here I am in California!
